578 | KS visited relations in Künzelsau in the 1960s (?) Scheu's birthplace was still standing with the plaque on the wall. I was in Künzelsau in the 1980s and spoke to the museums curator, Herr. Helgeler, who talked of the butchers who went to Yorkshire in the 1800s. Several returned as wealthy men and built the "English Houses" in Künzelsau. This is where the original photgraph and plaque were found (The house having been demolished) - PS From his Obituary and Funeral Oration, we know that Ludwig married in 1868 and had five children, 1 daughter and 4 sons before he died in 1880. Both his and Ferdinand Scheu's Father were called Christian so there is a likelihood they were brothers although almost 20 years between them. | Scheu, Ludwig August (I95)
