441 | (Research):The sad tale is that Edgar Gregory Horton actually killed himself in 1908, and his wife, Jennie Louisa Davis, (daughter of Labor leader William John Davis), died a little under a year later, (family history says "of a broken heart" but some indication that it was cirhossis of the liver), leaving their 4 children orphaned. By and large, the Davis family took the children in, and much knowledge of the Horton side was lost, as the children were very young. (The elderly cousins always add "because he was a bit of a black sheep in his family"). Greg Horton | Horton, Edgar Gregory (I2039)

446 | (Research):Two possible wives, Martha and Betsey. Ann Maria's wedding has her father as a confectioner (the Betsy one) and Emily as a witness. The Martha one was a wire puller in 1851, the other already a confectioner. Makes him the favourite. No sign of William and Martha in censuses after 1851. I'm sure I found a Martha link somewhere though. FreeBMD has a William HEATON listed with Marth PRICE in 1848 in Kings Norton. No sign of Betsy in BMD yet .
